Swell Summary

Outlook through Monday June 04: A new SW swell will build tonight and Tuesday and reach above-average heights Tuesday night through Thursday. After a trend downward Friday and Saturday, another above average south swell is expected to build on Sunday, possibly peaking close to advisory levels early next week. Surf along east facing shores will remain small through Tuesday, then rise to above average heights Tuesday night into the upcoming weekend. Only small surf is expected along north facing shores.
Surf heights are forecast heights of the face, or front, of waves. The surf forecast is based on the significant wave height, the average height of the one third largest waves, at the locations of the largest breakers. Some waves may be more than twice as high as the significant wave height. Expect to encounter rip currents in or near any surf zone.
