Maui brand Elle Mer Expands to Bikini.com

Elle Mer, a swimwear line founded by local designer Keri Ogden, recently received national recognition for the Sandbar rashguard and is now featured on Bikini.com.

The Sandbar rashguard not only offers stylish design, it’s fabric also protects wearers from the sun’s harmful rays. Handcrafted with luxury Italian fabric that features UPF50+ sun protection, the Sandbar has made thousands happy in the water.

Elle Mer produces a wide selection of women’s swimwear in their Paia factory including the Sandbar rashguard, which is named after Ogden’s favorite surf break on O‘ahu.

“My all-time favorite beach is actually a small white sand beach right out in front of the Outrigger Canoe Club known as Outrigger Beach. There is always someone paddling out for a canoe surf there, so I will often jump in the [surf] canoe wearing my Sandbar rashguard and we will make our way out to Old Mans, a really fun canoe, surfing, and longboard break straight out from the beach,” said Ogden. “The water there is so clear and blue and there are always small kids playing in the sand. It’s a really great spot to gather with friends and family and go for a surf.”

Ogden attended business school in Paris followed by law school at UH Richardson on Oahu. Blending the simplistic Parisian style with her Hawaii upbringing has created a truly amazing product.
