Royal Lahaina Resort Employees Raise Funds for Hawai‘i Charities

Hawaiian Hotels and Resorts (HHR) contributed over $28,000 to the 2018 Visitor Industry Charity Walk, a statewide annual event that engages members of Hawai‘i’s visitor industry to raise money for Hawai‘i’s charities.

A record number of staff and their families from HHR’s flagship properties, Royal Lahaina Resort and Royal Kona Resort, participated in the walk held on Sat., May 12, 2018 on Maui and Hawai‘i Island.

“Our family-owned business was built on a foundation of values that includes giving back to our community,” said Gary Hogen, CEO of Hawaiian Hotels and Resorts. “Our employees are our greatest assets and we are grateful for their significant effort and overwhelming support of this annual event.”

Over the past 10 years, Royal Lahaina Resort and Royal Kona Resort employees have collectively raised more than $250,000 in support of the Visitor Industry Charity Walk. In 2018, the charity walk celebrated its 40th year, raising over $2.5 million statewide to benefit local charities in Hawai‘i.
