“Our goal is to encourage Maui County residents to be educated on the 2018 electoral candidates and feel motivated to get out and vote by absentee ballot, early voting or on election day,” said QKC executives. “We have great opportunity to increase the number
of voters in our county and Queen Ka’ahumanu Center is a central venue where we can bring all of our candidates, voters and potential voters together to learn more about each other.  Voting is a powerful way to speak your mind and let your voice be heard.”

The event will feature voter registration, 16 electoral candidate information booths, family entertainment and door prizes, along with Mistress of Ceremonies, Deidre Tegarden.

Voter registration will take place on site for those 16 years of age and older. Primary election is Aug. 11, 2018. General election voter registration deadline is Oct. 9, 2018 with election taking place on Nov. 6, 2018. Maui County residents will need to have a current and valid photo identification to register.  Voters must be 18 years of age or older.
