Swell Summary

Outlook through Friday July 27: Reinforcing south-southwest swells today and tonight, producing surf heights slightly above the summer average for the south facing shores. A larger and longer period south- southwest swell is expected to begin filling in Saturday and peak on Sunday. This swell may cause surf to approach the High Surf Advisory threshold along south facing shores from Saturday into Monday. No other significant swells are expected.
Surf heights are forecast heights of the face, or front, of waves. The surf forecast is based on the significant wave height, the average height of the one third largest waves, at the locations of the largest breakers. Some waves may be more than twice as high as the significant wave height. Expect to encounter rip currents in or near any surf zone.
