Maui Nui Botanical Gardens to Host Lā ʻUlu: Breadfruit Day

The Maui Nui Botanical Gardens will be hosting a Lā ‘Ulu: Breadfruit Day event on Saturday, Sept. 8, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event will feature a breadfruit inspired food, cooking demonstrations and free samples provided by the Blue Zones Project. There will also be a native plant and ‘ulu tree sale, free cultural activities, Hawaiian music and Hula.

The event is free to the public and sponsored by the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority and the Ulupono Fund at the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation. There will also be free parking for the event. More information can be found online  or by contacting Whit Germano at 808-249-2798 or at info@mnbg.org.
