The state Department of Transportation will conduct roadwork at various locations throughout Maui this week, resulting in lane closures and alternating lane closures through Sept. 7, 2018.
In East Maui, there is an alternating lane closure in place on the Hāna Highway at mile 7.8 in Keʻanae. State crews are installing steel reinforcement on the road between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily.
In West Maui, there is a lane shift on the Honoapiʻilani Highway in both directions between Olowalu Village Road and Ukumehame Beach Park for lane striping work. Work runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.
