Haleakalā Sunrise and Cabin Reservation System Temporary Outage

Sunrise and cabin reservations at Haleakalā are suspended through Thursday due to a temporary online reservation system outage.

The Recreation.gov website used by many national parks, will not offer reservation services through Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 due to the system outage. Trip planning information will be available, but customers will not be able to book, change or cancel reservations for backcountry cabins or sunrise viewing at Haleakalā National Park.

During the temporary outage, last minute reservations for sunrise viewing at the summit of Haleakalā will not be available.

Normal reservation services will resume on Friday, Oct. 5, 2018, at 4 a.m. Hawaiʻi Standard Time.
