Makawao Third Friday Gets ‘Spooktacular’
In celebration of Halloween, the theme of this month’s Makawao Third Friday is Spooktacular Makawao.
Taking place on Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, from 6 to 9 p.m., Makawao Third Friday features live entertainment, food, artists and lots of local shopping, in addition to a special Halloween costume contest for keiki.
The first 50 keiki 10 years and under dressed in costume can stop by the Makawao Merchants Information tent in front of Komoda Bakery for free gift bag.
Featured entertainment includes Rosalind Modica’s Electric Church Maui, fire dancers Travis French with Nicole Casper, magician Timothy Wenk, Bryan Debris, Get Up and Dance and more.
Makawao Third Friday is a rain-or-shine free community event with Baldwin Avenue closed from the top of Makawao Avenue to Brewer Street. Free parking is available at the Makawao Municipal Parking Lot on Makawao Avenue (next to the library), the Makawao Base yard (across from St. Joseph’s Church) and two parking lots on Brewer Road.
