Maui Gas Prices Rise Once Again

Maui gas prices have risen once again this week by a margin of one cent; however, prices are up from last month by eight cents, and up from last year by 66 cents.

In Kahului, the average price is $4.16, which is one cent higher than last Thursday, eight cents higher than on this date last month and 65 cents higher than on this date a year ago.

Wailuku’s average is $4.16, which is one cent higher than last Thursday, eight cents higher than on this date a month ago and 66 cents higher than on this date a year ago.

Līhue’s average price for regular is $4.06, which is one cent higher than last Thursday, six cents higher than on this date last month and 70 cents more than a year ago.

In Honolulu, today’s average price for regular is $3.79, which is two cents higher than last Thursday, 14 cents higher than on this date a month ago and 85 cents higher than on this date last year. The Hilo average price is $3.94, which is unchanged since last Thursday, seven cents more than on this date last month and 81 cents higher than on this date a year ago.

Statewide, Hawai‘i gas prices increased for the sixth consecutive week but only by one or two cents in most areas, according to the AAA Hawai‘i Weekend Gas Watch.

Today’s statewide average price is $3.90 a gallon, which is one cent higher than last Thursday, 12 cents higher than a month ago and 79 cents more than a year ago, according to GasPrices.AAA.com.
