The National Weather Service has continued a High Surf Warning for the North and West facing shores of Molokaʻi and the North facing shores of Maui in effect until 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2017.

Forecasters say the long duration high surf event continues with “only gradual lowering today.”

The swell will bring warning level surf of 20 to 30 feet along affected north facing shores on Molokaʻi and Maui; and 12 to 20 feet along west facing shores of Molokaʻi.

The National Weather Service says powerful long-shore and rip currents will be present at most beaches. Inexperienced individuals are asked to remain off beaches and beachfront areas.
