Maui fire crews responded to a half-acre brush fire on Friday afternoon near the Maui Economic Opportunity transit yard in Puʻunēnē, Maui.
The incident was reported just before 5 p.m. in an area of brush near the facility, according to Maui Fire Services Chief Rylan Yatsushiro.
Crews with Engine 10, Tanker 10 and Hazmat 10 out of Kahului responded to the incident, and had the fire fully extinguished in about an hour.
The cause of the fire was undetermined.
