Booths Available for Queen Ka’ahumanu Center Healthfest
Queen Ka’ahumanu Center announces January as Live Local. Live Healthy. Awareness Month, featuring QKC’s signature 3rdAnnual Health Fest on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
As an ongoing commitment to the Maui community, Queen Ka’ahumanu Center will celebrate and promote healthy living for the entire month of January. The month is dedicated to the education of living healthy through lifestyle choices. The highlight of the month is the HealthFest featuring healthy cooking demonstrations to fitness activities, health product and service booths, education and more.
Non-profit organizations and County of Maui and State of Hawai‘i agencies that focus on health related products and services are invited to participate at no charge. For-profit companies are welcome to apply, and upon acceptance, a minimal booth fee will apply. Entertainment will be ongoing throughout the day which will include culinary, aerobic, and strength fitness demonstrations, along with great prizes.
“Our family fun event will appeal to all, from keiki to kūpuna,” said Toni Rojas, Vice President of Business and Community Development. “Special emphasis will be on our island-style living and how we can bring these healthy alternatives into our daily routine.”
