The Maui Chamber of Commerce hosts an Emergency Preparedness Class on Friday, Jan. 25 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the J. Walter Cameron Center Auditorium in Wailuku.

The class is designed to help participants build an emergency preparedness kit for their home or office in the case of a disaster. Participants will learn how to build, use, and share their preparedness kits with family, friends and co-workers.

“We can’t believe there aren’t more people in this class; everybody should be taking this,” said a previous class participant. “I had a basic starter kit before, but I am now far more prepared and knowledgeable from this class.”

The cost to attend is $99 per person and includes a free two-person emergency kit with over $159 worth of supplies to take home that day. Space is limited to 25 attendees per class on a first come, first served basis. Registration and payment must be received to reserve a space.
