A 63-year-old man was transported in stable condition to awaiting emergency medical personnel after suffering a medical emergency during a snorkel outing off Maui on Monday morning, Feb. 4, 2019.
Coast Guard crews were notified of the man in distress by the master of the vessel he was aboard.
The man was reportedly struggling to breathe after snorkeling, according to Coast Guard reports.
The Coast Guard duty flight surgeon was contacted and recommended a medevac.
