Maui Cycle Exploration Guided Ride, March 9

Maui Bicycling League partners with Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority and local bikeshops to host a guided ride and potluck for residents and visitors on Saturday, March 9, 2019.

From 7:45 to approximately 11 a.m., participants will ride from Kalama Park Pavilion to ‘Ahihi-Kina’u Natural Area Reserve and back, concluding with a social potluck at the Pavilion. The route will include scenic stops and natural interpretation at spots including Palauea Beach, Maluaka Beach and ‘Ahihi-Kina’u Natural Area Reserve.

Trained ride leaders will lead participants on the 19.3 mile cycling route along Maui’s southern shore as part of the Maui Cycle Exploration Guided Ride series.

This group ride is intended for intermediate to advanced cyclists who ride at an average speed of 12 to 14mph. Participants without gear can rent from Boss Frog’s or RideSmart Maui. Participation cost is donation based, helmets are mandatory and advanced booking is required.
