MEO honors Senator Roz Baker at its 2nd Annual Gala. PC: Maui Economic Opportunity.

Maui Economic Opportunity recognized Senator Roz Baker for her years of service representing the people of Maui.

In a written address, US Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard recognized Sen. Baker, saying she has served for over 25 years, advocating for issues that affect quality of life for residents, and has been a “staunch supporter of MEO’s mission and work.”

MEO is a nonprofit community action agency and the county’s sole anti-poverty organization serving nearly 18,000 individuals and families annually, touching more than 54,000 lives.

The award was issued during MEO’s 2nd Annual Gala, which took place on Saturday night.  More than 275 businesses, community members and legislators were in attendance.
