Danley Promoted to Maui Fire Battalion Chief

BC Guy Danley

The Maui Department of Fire and Public Safety announced the promotion of Guy Danley to the rank of Battalion Chief.

Chief Danley is a 26 year veteran of the department. His career started at Engine 1 in Wailuku.
Through the years he has served in several other districts including Lahaina, Nāpili, and Kahului.

His new assignment is Battalion Chief of Battalion 2 C Watch.

Above and beyond his emergency response duties, Chief Danley has served as an instructor for Blue Card Command and Control, Wildland Firefighting and Fire Hose Evolution.

Chief Danley is a 1984 graduate of Saint Anthony High School. He is married to wife Uʻilani and has two children, Anela and Leighton.

This is the latest in a series of promotions announced by the department. Earlier this week, the department announced the promotion of four individuals to the rank of Captain and six personnel to the rank of Firefighter III.
