Free Haleakalā Admission on Saturday, April 20

Haleakalā National Park on Maui is offering free admission to the public this Saturday, April 20th in celebration of National Park Week.

This Saturday is also National Junior Ranger Day, which will be celebrated with a special Volunteer-in-Parks program. Kids, along with family and friends, can sign up for a volunteer trash pick up from 9 a.m. to noon in the Summit District and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Kīpahulu District.  Participants will receive a Junior Ranger badge and a certificate.

Gloves, trash bags, and reflective vests will be provided upon check-in. The ʻōpala (trash) pick up will end with a group Junior Ranger graduation ceremony at the Summit Headquarters and Kīpahulu Visitor Centers.
