Fire Burns One Acre Near Pi‘ihana Farm Lots

Approximately one acre of brush was burned in an afternoon fire off of Piʻihana Road in Wailuku on Sunday.
The incident was reported at 12:10 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, 2019 near Piʻihana Farms.
Maui Fire Services Chief Rylan Yatsushiro said firefighters encountered windy conditions, but were able to access the area and quickly knocked down flames.
The fire was contained in about an hour and extinguished at 1:36 p.m.
No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is unknown.
