American Cancer Society Relay for Life, July 20

The Annual American Cancer Society Relay For Life will be held on July 20, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the War Memorial special events arena.

The evening will include live family entertainment, silent auction, games, a “Braddah-Bling” contest and more. Special events and activities are also held just for survivors and their caregivers, so they can connect with others and know that there is a strong support system available to them.

Organizers say participation helps the American Cancer Society attack cancer in dozens of ways, each of them critical to achieving a world without cancer – from developing breakthrough therapies to building supportive communities, from providing empowering resources to deploying activists to raise awareness.

Funds raised support the American Cancer Society 24/7 cancer help-line, free rides to chemo, lodging, and ongoing revolutionary research projects. By joining the Relay For Life event, you can help attack cancer from every angle.

The Relay For Life movement unites communities across the globe to celebrate people who have
been touched by cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action for lifesaving changes. Symbolizing the battle waged around the clock by those facing cancer it empowers communities to take a stand against cancer. It helps people to know that no one has to face cancer alone.
