The Maui Police Department today issued an update on missing person Khiara Henry of San Diego, California saying they have received several leads, “however none of them could be confirmed at this time.”

Henry was reported missing on July 26 by family.  Police say the last confirmed sighting of her was on July 21, 2019 when she rented a car in Kahului. The vehicle was later found in the Waiʻānapanapa Park area, according to police.

Police returned to the Wainapanapa area for a follow-up investigation on August 2 although no new leads were found.

“Police and community search efforts in the Waiʻānapanapa Park and surrounding areas have so far been unsuccessful. We would like to thank the Maui Search and Rescue members for their tenacious efforts in trying to locate Khiara,” police said in a press release.

The Police Department continues to ask anyone who was in the Waiʻānapanapa area between July 21 and 26 and/or has information on her whereabouts, to contact Maui police at (808) 270-6516 or (808) 244-6400.
