Road OPEN: Small Brush Fires Along Honoapiʻilani Hwy

Update: 4:45 a.m.
Honoapiʻilani Highway is now OPEN in both directions. It was closed for over an hour between 3:20 and 4:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2019, while crews worked to put out several small brush fires from Māʻalaea to Ukumehame.

Honoapiʻilani Highway is closed at Kapoli Street in Māʻalaea and at the Ukumehame area in West Maui due to several small brush fires situated on the “Pali” section of the highway from Ukumehame to Māʻalaea.
