O’ahu Man Reported Missing on Hawai’i Island

Hawa’i Island police are looking for 27-year-old O’ahu resident Kyle Brittain, who was reported missing earlier today.

Brittain was last known to be hiking in Waipiʻo Valley and is described as 5’11” tall with short black hair.

According to his sister-in-law Heather Saenz, Brittain was hiking alone and was last seen at aorund 6 a.m.

Police spotted Brittain’s blue truck in the parking lot before the trailhead.

Saenz and other family members made attempts to call Brittain’s phone but were unable to reach him.

Family members are asking for the public’s help in locating Brittain.

“Kyle is the most loving brother, son, and uncle,” Saenz said.

“He just completed massage school and was looking forward to starting his career next month, changing people’s lives. He has so much love to give which is why we hope he returns.”

Anyone with information regarding Brittain’s whereabouts is being asked to contact the Hawai’i Police Department at (808) 935-3311.
