No lane or shoulder closures are expected for the Lahaina Bypass on Sept. 9 as crews complete drainage improvements.
The work will take place off the road near the intersection of the bypass and Kai Hele Ku Street.
While there are no closures, the Department of Transportation is asking for motorists to drive with caution through the area.
Crews will be constructing a new wall and concrete swale, replacing riprap, and installing a fence.
The department expects the work to be finished in December.
The improvements are a part of a corrective measure and do not add to the construction costs of the completed $38.6 million Lahaina Bypass Phase 1B-2 traffic mitigation project.
