According to police, Kahelewai’s family said it is uncharacteristic of her to not check in with them frequently.

Police say Kahalawai is homeless and lives out of her car, a white 2008 Nissan multi-purpose vehicle.

She is known to frequent the area of Kaʻahumanu Shopping Center in Kahului and may be in the company of her boyfriend, Ricky Wills, according to Maui police.

Kahalawai is described as five feet three inches tall, weighs approximately 150 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call Maui Police Detective Bryan Manalapao at 244-6495, call the Maui Police Department non-emergency line at 244-6400, or in the event of an emergency dial 9-1-1.
