Maui Pre-Trial Felon Fails to Return to Maui Jail

Sheriffs on Maui are searching for pre-trial felon Richard Kealoha-Kaauwai.

Kealoha-Kaauwai was issued a court ordered temporary, three-day release to attend to a personal matter.

As ordered, he was released from Maui Community Correctional Center “MCCC” on Friday, Oct. 4 and was scheduled to report back to MCCC on Monday, Oct. 7 at 5 p.m.

Maui Police and State Sheriffs were notified yesterday of his failure to return.

Kealoha-Kaauwai is 27 years old. He is 5’6″ tall and weighs 145 pounds with brown eyes and hair. He is awaiting trial for abuse of a family or household member and third degree promotion of a dangerous drug.
