Wailea Golf Raises $3,700 for Military Families
Wailea Golf Club raised more than $3,700 for the nonprofit Folds of Honor Foundation as part of a statewide effort to support families of US men and women in service. This year’s fundraiser brings Wailea Golf Club’s cumulative donation to more than $16,300 since 2012.
Each year, September is designated as Patriot Golf Month, a charitable program supported by The Aloha Section PGA. Participating golf courses across the islands, including all three courses at Wailea, organized special golf activities to raise scholarships dollars for family members of disabled or fallen U.S. service men and women.
Through the years, Wailea Golf Club’s efforts have included par 3 contests and sales of Custom Collectible Challenge Coin Ball Markers, as well as raffles for Limited Edition Titleist Folds of Honor golf bags and donations received from customers.
“We greatly appreciate the hard work of our staff at all three of our courses and the tremendous generosity of our customers,” said Marcus Judge, PGA, head golf professional at Wailea. “Beneficiaries of the Patriot Golf Month fundraiser have included more than 50 military families based in Hawaii. We’re pleased and humbled to be able to offer our thanks and support for the families of our dedicated servicemen and women.”
