Ka Molokaʻi Makahiki Receives OHA Grant

Ka Molokaʻi Makahiki, a three-day Hawaiian cultural event, has been awarded an $8,100 grant from the Office of Hawaiian Affairs to hold the upcoming Molokaʻi Makahiki celebration.

The event includes educational lectures, opening ceremonies, adult and youth athletic competitions, entertainment, food booths, craft sales, and cultural demonstrations to educate the community on the purpose of observing Makahiki season.

Molokaʻi Makahiki will be held from Jan. 23 to 25.
