Maui Officer Named “Top Cop”

Maui Police officer Andrew Cabral Jr. was named Top Cop at the Maui Police Department, and received an award from the sponsoring organizations during a ceremony on Oʻahu.

Cabral joined the department in 2010 and has been assigned to patrol divisions in Lahaina, Lānaʻi and Wailuku.

While on Lānaʻi he assisted in numerous narcotics enforcement operations.

He is currently assigned as a juvenile investigator and conducts hands-on juvenile delinquency countermeasures and enforcement.

The Top Cop award is sponsored in part by the Hawaiʻi Law Enforcement Coalition, ASIS International Chapter 134, Hawaiʻi Hotel Visitor Industry Security Association, Hawaiʻi Joint Police Association and the International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety.

The award recognizes outstanding Officers from Local, State, Federal and Military Law Enforcement and Security Agencies in Hawaiʻi.
