Maui Economic Opportunity, Inc. has unveiled a new bus on Molokaʻi that is accessible for community members in wheelchairs.
The bus was blessed on Thursday and will join the rural shuttle fleet, transporting residents to and from the East and West ends of the island into Kaunakakai Town.
Funding for the bus came from Mayor Michael Victorino, the county transportation department, and the Maui County Council.
Last year, MEO provided nearly 24,000 rides on the island.
