The Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents a first-time concert appearance on Maui by members of Amsterdam’s famed Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Camerata RCO. The concert takes place in Castle Theater, Thursday, Jan. 16 at 7:30 p.m.

Formed by members of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra (RCO), considered one of the world’s finest orchestras, Camerata RCO performs chamber music in multiple formations from duet to small chamber orchestra, with a special focus on the Classical and Romantic repertoire for winds and strings, and active relationships with living composers.

The musical program on Maui is scheduled to include Brahms: Piano Trio op 8; Mozart: Piano Quartet No. 1 in G minor, K. 478; and Brahms: Clarinet Trio op 114. The MACC performance will consist of a quintet of RCO musicians. The musicians scheduled to perform on Maui are: Marc Daniel van Biemen, violin; Santa Vizine, viola; Louis Rodde, cello; Hein Wiedijk, clarinet; Katy Woolley, horn; and Thomas Beijer, piano.
