Christmas Day Fire Burns 1.5 Acres Near Ameron Quarry

Maui fire crews quickly contained a brush fire in Puʻunēnē on Wednesday afternoon near the Ameron Cement quarry.
Fire officials say the fire was reported at around 3:30 p.m. on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 2019, off of Firebreak Road.
The fire burned a total of 1.5 acres.
The cause is under investigation.
