The state Department of Transportation continues roadwork on the Hāna Highway near Wailua Valley State Park in East Maui. The project will result in a 24-hour lane closure in the northbound direction for soil nail installation.
There’s also a lane closure on the Hāna Highway in Haʻikū near Papaʻaea Road for ongoing retaining wall work.
Both projects run from Jan. 4, through Friday, Jan. 10, over a 24-hour period.
Motorists are advised to approach work areas with caution. Lane closures may change without further notice and all projects are weather permitting.
