Wet weather is forecast for Maui and Hawaiʻi Island later this week as an unstable airmass moves over the islands.
The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Watch for both islands from Thursday morning through Saturday evening.
“While showers will be possible over most areas, the most susceptible to flooding will be windward areas which have already received rain this week,” according to the NWS.
Motorists and pedestrians are reminded not to cross fast flowing or rising water in their vehicle or on foot.
