CIP Funds Released for Honoapi‘ilani Highway

Representative Angus L.K. McKelvey thanked Governor Ige for releasing $1,050,000 in additional Capital Improvement Project funds for Coastal Highway Realignment of Honoapiʻilani Highway.
“I am pleased that Governor Ige for releasing the money we fought so hard to secure during the last legislative session.” said McKelvey (West Maui, Māʻalaea, North Kīhei). “With this additional funding, we can continue to move towards addressing the effects of climate change and coastal inundation in the area.”
This most recent release of funding is in addition to the $5.6 million released for the project in 2019.
