‘Ukulele Virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro Returns to Maui

Jake Shimabukuro, ʻukulele wizard and always-popular musical artist, is coming back to Maui.

Shimabukuro is slated to perform at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center alongside members of his trio in March.

Known for his lightning-fast fingers as well as the breadth and depth of his mastery, Shimabukuro’s repertoire includes all genres, from mellow jazz and soulful blues to traditional Hawaiian tunes as well as classical music, bluegrass, flamenco, and rock.

Shimbakukuroʻs concert, which is a part of the MACCʻs “Hoʻonanea” series, will feature pre-show festivities in the courtyard, displays of Maui arts and crafts, with dinners, snacks and beverages for purchase.

The concert will be held on March 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets go on sale to MACC members on Jan. 15 and then to the general public on Jan. 25.
