REMINDER: Hāna Highway Nightly Closures Begin TONIGHT

The Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation advises Maui motorists of nightly closures on the Hāna Highway (Route 360) between Huelo and Hāna Town beginning tonight, Jan. 28, 2020.
The nightly closure takes place over the course of three days between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m. through Friday morning, Jan. 31. No closure is scheduled for Friday night, Jan. 31.
The night work will involve drilling and soil nail installation to stabilize the existing slope face of Hāna Highway.

The full road closure allows for the drilling work, as the excavator needs to be placed in both lanes. Emergency vehicles and first responders have been notified and will be allowed passage through the closure if needed.
The project is weather permitting.
