Members of the Maui Police Department, Maui Fire Department, AMR (Medics), 93rd CST, University of Hawai’i faculty and staff, will be participating in a one (1) day, coordinated agency emergency preparedness exercise.

The exercise will be held on Wednesday at the University of Hawai’i Maui campus Laulima Building from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Police, fire and EMS crews and vehicles will be arriving on campus throughout the drill.

As a safety precaution, UH personal are requesting the public to avoid the specific exercise site unless you are a participant.

During the drill, the campus community can expect to receive “mock” notifications via text and email, outdoor loudspeakers, UH Maui College hotline and UH Maui College website scrolling banner.

In an announcement, the county explained that in the case of an actual event, community members would receive specific detailed information on what is happening, where it is happening, and what to do.
