Injured Hiker Airlifted From Wailua Falls Trail

Maui fire crews airlifted a 68-year-old woman who was not able to walk after falling while on a hike along the Wailua trail on Wednesday.
Officials say the woman, who is a visitor to the island, sustained lower back and leg injuries after the fall.
The woman was airlifted to a nearby landing zone and transported to the Hāna Medical Center for treatment.
No serious injuries were reported.
