Program to Provide Fresh Produce For Kūpuna

Maui Economic Opportunity, Inc. announced today the return of its popular Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP).

The program aims to provide eligible seniors with fresh produce in an effort to improve their health and nutritional status.

Qualified seniors will receive coupons worth $50 to exchange for locally grown fruits, vegetables, herbs and honey from the Farmers’ Market of Maui in Kīhei and Honokowai, Maui Fresh Farmers’ Market at the Queen Kaʻahumanu Center, Maui Nui Farmers’ Market on Lower Kula Road, Up Country Farmers’ Market of Pukalani and Kula Country Farms.

The SFMNP coupons may be used from April 1 through Sept. 30.
