Registration Opens for basketballMAUI Camp 2020

Registration for the 11th annual basketballMAUI Camp 2020 is currently available.

The camp will run from June 1-5, 2020 at the new South Maui Gymnasium in Kīhei, Monday through Friday from 9 to 3 p.m.

Kids who register will get a free camp t-shirt, basketball and workbook, with chances to win prizes throughout the week.

The mission of the camp is to inspire and equip youth through sport.

Organizers note that Fiemea Hafoka attended the organization’s first few camps, and is now leading her San Jose State Spartans in her Senior year as team captain of the Division 1 College team.

“It’s amazing what you can teach a child with a basketball in their hands. Basketball is one of the greatest teachers of tenacity, perseverance, gratitude and teamwork. Tools you will learn at this camp you can apply off the court and use for the rest of your life,” said event organizers.

The camp is lead by many who are either current or past professionals, as well as college student- athletes.

The camp is presented by Vertical Sports Maui, a 501c3 non-profit organization.
