Mariah Carey announced that her Hawaiʻi concert will be postponed from March 10, 2020 to Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020 due to current global travel restrictions. With the new date, Mariah Carey and Rick Bartalini Presents will bring the All I Want for Christmas Is You & Hits show to Hawaiʻi for the first time ever.

All previously purchased tickets will be honored for Saturday, Nov. 28. Ticket holders do not need to exchange their tickets for the new concert date. Current ticket holders will not be subject to ticket price increases that will be necessary to produce the celebrated theatrical stage production for the ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ & Hits extravaganza.

The new date allows Mariah to share her love of the holiday season with the people of Hawaiʻi and in the festive spirit, Mariah will be providing a special Christmas gift to all concertgoers entering the Neal S. Blaisdell arena on Saturday, Nov. 28.

Promoter Rick Bartalini issued a statement today saying:

“I’ve been trying to get Mariah’s Christmas show to Hawaiʻi for a few years now, but it hasn’t been possible due to her touring schedule. The silver lining with this date change is being able to bring this magical holiday show to Hawaiʻi instead for the first time ever, on Saturday, Nov. 28. The All I Want for Christmas Is You & Hits show is not just a concert experience but a whole amazing theatrical production. Hawaiʻi has never seen anything like it before. I’m looking forward to working with Mariah and her team to share it with the people of Hawaiʻi.”

Mariah’s Christmas extravaganzas are massive theatrical productions packed with joy, sparkle, and excitement of the holiday season. Surrounded by eye-popping sets in addition to carolers, elves, Nutcracker drummer boys, dancers dressed as reindeer, and a sugar-plum fairy, Mariah performs all the sentimental Christmas classics—including her own—as well as her biggest hits.

“Nobody does Christmas like Mariah Carey,” promoters said.  Her ground-breaking Merry Christmas album, first released in 1994, has sold over 15 million copies. The standout single from that album, “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” a holiday favorite and instant classic, reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in December 2019—25 years after its initial release. With over 16 million copies sold, “All I Want for Christmas Is You” is the best-selling Christmas single by any female artist in history, earning three different Guinness World Records.

Mariah followed up Merry Christmas with Merry Christmas II You (2010), which debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 chart. In late 2019, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of its initial release, Merry Christmas was reissued as a double album deluxe edition and a new video celebrating the magic of the season was released for “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”

Mariah expanded on the magic of “All I Want for Christmas Is You” by directing a holiday movie for the Hallmark channel (2015), writing a children’s book (2015), and releasing an animated Christmas movie (2017), all based on her #1 song.

With more Number One hits than any other solo recording artist in history, Mariah is planet Earth’s best-selling female artist of all time.
