Kahului Ranks in Top 10 Midsize Cities For Chefs

Kahului was named the No. 7 midsize city for chefs in a study from business research group AdvisorSmith. 

According to the company, Kahului hosts over 300 percent more jobs for chefs per capita than the national average. 

The study also found that the average annual salary for chefs is $75,430, 45 percent higher than the national average.

Kahului ranked 15th in the study overall out of 227 cities, beating out Honolulu, which placed 79th. 

Sebastian, Florida ranked No. 1 in the best midsize cities for chefs, followed by Springfield, Missouri at second and Florence, South Carolina at third.

  3. Florence, SC.
  4. Naples, FL. 
  5. Port St. Lucie, FL. 
  6. Punta Gorda, FL.

  10. Atlantic City, NJ.

AdvisorSmith representatives say they assessed the 227 cities based on chef salaries, the cost of living, and the availability of jobs for chefs.
