In response to the coronavirus crisis, event organizers announced that this yearʻs Art of Trash Exhibit will be held online.

Artists from across Maui County have submitted works inspired by this year’s theme to recycle, reinvent, repurpose while challenging the question “what is waste?”

The deadline for Gallery and “Trashion” Show submissions has been extended to April 10.

The interactive virtual gallery will be open for one month and will premiere on Earth Day (April 22) on the Mālama Maui Nui website.

Gallery visitors will be able to place their votes for best-in-show and winners will be announced after the exhibition closes.
