have virtually combined their talents in mele, dance, and instrumental performances.

The Forever Miss Hawaiʻi who participated in the video project include Allison Chu, Angela Baraquio Grey, Ashley Layfield, Billie Takaki Lueder, Candes Gentry, Carolyn Sapp Daniels, Cathy Foy, Cheryl Bartlett, Cheryl Toma Sanders, Courtney Glaza Naso, Crystal Montrone, Debbie Nakanelua-Richards, Denby Dung Cabaldon, Erika Kauffman, Jalee Palompo, Jennifer Hera Pimentel, Kanoe Kaumeheiwa Miller, Kanoe Naone, Kanoelani Gibson Nitta, Kathryn Teruya, Kehaulani Christian Takenishi, Lani Stone Kaaa, Lauren Matsumoto, Ligaya Stice, Malika Dudley, Melissa Short Zapin, Nicole Fox, Nikki Kehaulani Holbrook, Penelope Ng Pack, and Skyler Kamaka.

“In order to achieve this 6.5-minute video, each participating Forever Miss Hawaii recorded herself performing her chosen talent to a rendition of Israel Kamakawiwo‘ole’s medley of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and “What A Wonderful World,” all while safe at home,” Penelope Ng Pack (Miss Hawaii 2018) said in a press release.

“The individual videos were then sent on to me for editing. We also received the generous help of
Kale Chang, a former Miss Hawaiʻi judge and owner of ‘Auwa‘a Studios, for the final vocal
mix.”
