The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory for Maui County.

Large breaking waves of 7 to 10 feet are expected until 6 am Sunday for east facing shores of Maui, Molokaʻi, Oʻahu, Kauaʻi and the Big Island.

Expect strong breaking waves, shore break and strong longshore and rip currents that make swimming difficult and dangerous.
