Swell Summary
The current large north-northwest swell combined with the locally generated wind waves is producing very large and disorganized surf along north and west facing shores of most islands. Expect the swell direction to become more northerly later today and tonight. The north swell will gradually subside from Wednesday through Thursday. A new long-period northwest swell arriving late Friday will build through Saturday, and produce surf approaching the High Surf Warning criteria along most north and west facing shores by Saturday. Expect modest surf along most east facing shores through Thursday, but the surf will increase this weekend as the trade winds strengthen.
