Swell Summary

A large west-northwest swell will move through the islands today, then gradually lower tonight through Tuesday. Surf is expected to fall below advisory levels along exposed shores of most of the smaller islands by Monday morning, but will likely remain at advisory levels for north and west facing shores of Niihau and Kauai, as well as west facing shores of the Big Island through Monday afternoon. Surf is expected to lower below advisory thresholds along all shores Tuesday through the end of the week. Surf along east facing shores will get a small boost today, then lower through mid week. East shore surf should then trend up late in the week as trade winds increase over and upstream of the islands. Surf along south facing shores will remain small through the week.
