Maui Ku‘ia Estate Chocolate, Inc. announced the promotion of Meghan Ramos to fulfillment team manager.

For the last year, Ramos has been working with the fulfillment team as a lead/expense management and accounts payable. Her main focus is helping ensure that all production is maintained in order to process orders without delay.

Dr. Gunars Valkirs, CEO of the company said that along with her coworkers, Ramos is passionate about the goal of “giving back to the community while providing the highest quality chocolate.”

“Meghan is a fantastic part of our Chocolate Kuleana team,” said Valkirs. “With her management skills and her sparkling, genuine, helpful personality, she truly connects with both customers and coworkers.”

After earning her Bachelor of Arts in History in Oregon, Ramos returned to her Maui roots. She now lives on the family property in Kaua‘ula Valley in the same house where she grew up. Most of her siblings and their families also live on the property, and she enjoys being surrounded by ‘ohana.

Ramos’s diverse background includes handling administrative duties for Management Consultants of Hawai‘i, working in the busy food service industry as a server at Leilani’s, and teaching at Holy Innocents Preschool.

She is also the mother of her 8-year-old son Damon, a student at Kula Kaiapuni ʻo Nāhiʻenaʻena Hawaiian immersion.

From her childhood off the grid in Kaua‘ula Valley, to growing her skills on the mainland, to now building her career back home in Lahaina, Ramos said she is proud to be serving the community as part of the Ku‘ia team.

Maui Ku‘ia Estate Chocolate is located at 78 Ulupono St. in Lahaina. Hours are Monday through Sunday, 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
